By Their Fruit

Matthew 7:15-20
15 “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.
16 By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?
17 Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit.
19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
20 Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them."
Everyone knows an apple tree cannot produce oranges. I can recognize the difference between both trees. The orange tree has smooth bark with a film on it and huge thorns. The apple tree has spindly branches with rough bark. An orange tree's wood is softer than the apple by far.
I can also recognize someone who is deceptive and immoral. I was that guy for a long time. From my experience of being a scumbag, I can now spot them a mile away. Or just turn on the mainstream media outlets. That programming makes me actually sick to my stomach. To know that people are outright lying to the public in order to create fear, and have no evidence makes me a bit mad, to be honest.
People think $AMC stock is down because it is shorted. No, Wall Street is smart and sees that they are in debt and all of the movies suck, so they short it. AMC is not making money. Hollywood is to blame. I miss going to the movies.
People that profess to be followers of Christ, but still act a fool, are a perfect example. I used to hang out at the bar and tell people I was a Christian. What kind of Christian was I? I was the worst kind. I was terrible at advertising what a follower of Christ is. I led them to believe that they might do the same. My fruit was spoiled.
The Holy Spirit helps me see who is good and not so good. By their fruits, I will see who they are. What do they produce? Love or hate? It is easy to see. I am working on being that guy who loves, understands, and is compassionate. It ain't easy, but easier than yesterday.
Do you try to bear good fruit? I think my fruit is ripe and healthy. It still has some bruises here and there, though. I am still a work in progress. I hope to graduate this class with honors. Or at least a 3.6 GPA.
Dear Heavenly Father, help us to produce good fruit so they will know us by our love. I thank you for your Word to give us the knowledge we seek to guide us daily. Help us to love those with bad fruit and let the Holy Spirit fertilize their souls and renew them. I pray this in Jesus' name, Amen.
Thank you everyone for being here. I love all you guys. WWJD For Life! 🥰
